WHAT IS HALCYON?
Halcyon is a futuristic murder mystery that explores the dark side of Virtual Reality (VR). The 15-part series includes 10 short-form episodes, interspliced with 5 interactive VR episodes that take you deeper into the story.
Jules Dover is a highly-capable homicide detective fully committed to her work—solving crimes that take place in the virtual world. She’s got some very real skeletons in her closet and is haunted by a painful past. Regardless, Jules is the kind of brass you assign to impossible cases because she has a knack for figuring out even the most twisted mysteries and solving the unsolvable. Where others fail, Jules Dover will succeed.
Lisa Marcos began her career as a fashion model at the age of 12, but after a heady decade of globetrotting, she decided to pursue another passion. Marcos began acting professionally in 2002 with a guest role on Soul Food. Other notable television credits include lead roles on The Listener, Played and recurring and guest starring roles on Flashpoint, Hemlock Grove, CSI: Miami, Bones, Lost Girl, and Shadowhunters. On film she has gone toe-to-toe with Tyler Perry in Diary of A Mad Black Woman, and Anthony Anderson in King’s Ransom.
Asha is a Virtual Intelligence (VI), a fully-functioning digital person with her own thoughts, feelings, and motivations. As Jules’ assistant on cases, Asha is visible to anyone able to access VR through Halcyon’s implant technology. Asha is a smart and valuable ally to Jules, yet she is hyper-aware of the limitations associated with being virtual, namely, that she is physically untouchable.
