The RealWear Head-Mounted Tablet (HMT) is designed for skilled technicians and engineers in field service, equipment inspection, maintenance and complex manufacturing assembly.
Like enterprise tablets, the RealWear HMT-1 runs a landscape display with enough pixel resolution to display PDF documents, maintenance and assembly manuals. Porting smartphone, Android tablet apps, and enterprise business apps in HTML-5 is an easy process with its Android operating system.
Like wearable smart glasses, the RealWear HMT-1 is a heads-up display experience with glanceable information delivered immediately to the worker on demand.

A 3300 mAH additional or replacement lithium ion battery for the RealWear HMT-1 – identical to the included battery. Accessible through the door at the rear of the HMT-1, the battery may be replaced at any time with a fully charged battery. The hot swap capability of the HMT-1 means that applications will continue to preserve their state during the battery swap and a reboot will not be required. Batteries may be charged either inside the HMT-1 when the charger is attached to the Type C USB port, or externally when placed in the multi-battery charger.
Extra battery charger
A type C USB charger, identical to the included charger, with a 2 meter cable. This charger has been certified by RealWear to source sufficient current to completely charge the large 3300 mAH battery in approximately 4.5 hours, to not overcharge or otherwise damage the battery. Use of the RealWear charger is recommended as third party chargers may slightly drop their voltage when providing high charge currents, resulting in incomplete charging of the battery.
A desktop charger that can charge five RealWear HMT-1 batteries simultaneously when removed from the HMT-1. This unit permits 24×7 operation for work teams operating in shifts, by ensuring freshly charged batteries are always available.
Replacement head stabilizers
A pair of head stabilizers that clip into place on the RealWear HMT-1 to rest on the top of the head. These support the weight of the unit, if it is not attached to a hard hat.
Replacement hard hat clips
A pair of hard hat clips that connect to the hard hat receptacles typically used to attached hard hat chin straps or earmuffs, and also clip to the RealWear HMT-1.
Replacement foam mesh
The foam mesh on the interior of the headband cushions the unit against the head for a comfortable fit. This is a consumable part and should be replaced after normal wear and tear or if it becomes soiled.
Optional front strap
If worn without a hard hat, the RealWear HMT-1 may optionally be secured with a strap that crosses the top of the forehead. For certain head sizes and head shapes this strap may improve the fit and comfort of the unit. This strap is washable.
Optional interior rear strap
For particularly small head sizes, for example petite women, the fit of the RealWear HMT-1, if worn without a hard hat, can be improved with the use of a rear strap that attaches to the interior headband. This strap has a ratchet mechanism for tightening the strap in fine increments.
Made of ballistic nylon and shaped internally to fit the RealWear HMT-1 this case will optimally protect your unit for transportation in backpacks or luggage, or for storage.
RECOMMENDED THIRD PARTY ACCESSORIES
Huawei E3372 4G LTE Cat4 USB Stick – enables 2G/3G/4G cellular data connectivity for the RealWear HMT-1.
If cellular data connectivity is required for the RealWear HMT-1, as an alternative to tethering the unit over Wi-Fi to a smart phone or portable cellular hotspot, this USB modem may be plugged into the Micro USB port of the HMT-1, via a short adapter cable that converts from micro USB (on the HMT-1) to type A USB (on the modem).
The HMT-1 is able to provide sufficient power to the LTE modem through the micro USB port. The LTE modem may be secured to the rear headband of the HMT-1 using a small Velcro tie. A SIM card from a cellular carrier must be installed in the USB Stick.
Hearing protection solution with 25dB Noise Reduction Rating (NRR).
In loud environments where hearing protection is required, these earplug headphones from Plugfones allow the audio from the RealWear HTM-1 to be connected via the 3.5mm jack and clearly heard while also providing ambient noise reduction.
Note that the advanced noise cancellation built-in to the HMT-1 means that no additional microphones are required in the hearing protection solution.
